MySQL

MySql is Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Mysql is popular for Web Applicationsand act as a database component of LAMP, XAMPP, WAMP etc. Its popularity for use with web application is closely tied to the popularity of PHP, which is often combined with MySql. Several high traffic websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Google, Flickr uses MySql for its data storage and logging of user data.

Here I’ll show some examples while using Mysql with PHP. Already I explained in PHP section about XAMPP installation (http://locahost/phpmyadmin/) where you can find the Database Management. There are many keywords in MySql, capitalize  the keywords its a good programming habit. This helps draw them out from the rest of the code and makes them much easier to read.

Example

Database table,

table_id name gender age
1 PersonX male 21
2 PersonY female 20
3 PersonZ female 22

The above table contains three records and four columns, table_id (primary key), name, gender, age. A primary key uniquely identify the row in a table.
